Hi all,

I changed the transmission belt and the variator (it was overused) and when I tightened the rear nut (of course, at the torque set by the manufacturer of 54-60 Nm), the rear wheel almost locks (it turns very hard) does anyone know why ? Thank you!

Did you squeeze the rear pulley so you could put the belt deep down in it?

Have you spun the belt with the rear pully around a few times to make sure the belt has settled in place?

One place it can start to bind up is with the metal washer at the front off the variator. If the belt gets wedged there at could cause the issue.
