Everything is working but brand new charged battery is not charging; tested with voltmeter and revving to 5000 rpm: no change, just the battery reading ~ 13v.
Probably time for a new regulator. but test between the 3 output wires from the alternator winding to see that they aren't faulty. you should get up to 30v if they are OK. I have found the cheap chinese substitutes are just as good as genuine at about a third of the price.
Looks like they have gone up a bit since I bought mine but still cheaper than OEM. I would send you the link but I am not technically savvy enough to be able to do this
Before I read Jim's reply (thanks just the same) I went and checked the hidden fuse and, sure enough, it was blown. Replaced it and problem solved: meter reads a good 15v + charge.
I hope that's the end of issues.
