I'm putting my VBA engine together and there is a good bit of movement at the clutch. The lever on the engine that engages the clutch moves about 3/4 of an inch before a hit resistance. This seems wrong to me and I don't want to put the engine in until I figure out if this is correct or not.

It's a newly rebuilt clutch, new springs new clutch material.

In comparison my Stella only moves about 1/8 inch.

Thoughts?

Pretty sure that's correct. 35 or so degrees of rotation before clutch spring (hard) resistance.

I was using one of the fancy sip clutch bushings and it's ever so slightly shorter than the stock bronze ones. I swapped in the bronze one and am much happier.
