I think they look fine. Offer a nice contrast and retro look.

I do recall scrubbing white walls with a stiff brush and Ajax powder cleaner. It would turn blue while wet and scrubbing, but when rinsed left them really white.

Yup, I think the next set of tires will be white wall. A positive review from JB, after putting on a few thousand miles should lock my thinking in. TY for all your pics. What brand and model tires might you have JB?
I only have a few hundred miles on the Shinko whitewalls, but I can say, with certainty, that if you ride on any rain-grooved highways to avoid these tires, as they are absolutely terrible on that kind of surface and 'squirm' about as if you're riding on snot, quite unnerving.

By contrast, the GTS's original tires were fine on grooved highways.

My '22 Royal Enfield 650, as equipped with it's original tires, was also very bad on grooved road surfaces (though a set of Bridgestone BT46's took care of that issue)...but the GTS is worse, I suppose due to it's shorter wheelbase resulting in its sensitivity to steering inputs and relatively light weight.

On normally smooth road surface the Shinko tires are fine, but I definitely need more miles to assess them fairly in that regard too.

They're Shinko tires, 723's?

These tires are Shinko 777's, not 723's.

thank you JB. I foresee many wet back roads and highway miles in my future . I prefer safety to looks and tires that are poor performers on wet roads are not a good choice for the times I ride while water is dropping out of the sky.

What's to forgive?
People hang cup holders off their scooters so yours is no big deal.

The Shinko tires suit my general riding style adequately for the weather that I usually ride my GTS in, but for those who need more from their tires than I do as for weather/road conditions, I would recommend a different brand.

The reason why I never recommend the Justin Bieber Edition to anyone who might be inclined to go for a ride, at all, ever.

Funny you should mention that... My BF just picked up a Biebz edition a couple weeks ago and probably has 600 miles on it already. Stops at car washes is pretty much planned into the end of every ride now.
