I want to take out my 2014 chinese ignition

It uses a harness to connect to the main scooter hook up so i need to use this harness but will have to cut wires to join cdi as the chinese uses a different joining connector as well … the wires are different colour black , yellow , blue , brown so what colour would go with the red , white , green of the new stator … can they just go right to new cdi?

Pics to see what i mean

I run a reedspeed cdi which would still mean i need to put the red , white amd green somewhere

I've moved this post to the NSM forum, where it belongs, just like all of your other posts. please stop posting NSM topics in the GD forum, it's getting tiresome.

Got any literature from the readspeed CDI? Got any close up pictures of it? It may label where certain wires go.

I'd not, you'll have to play guess and check. Good thing is there's only 3 wires to sort, ground, trigger and power. Can't say for certain but I don't think you can cause any damage putting the wrong wire in the wrong CDI spot.

Once you have spark, you can figure out where the kill wire goes.

Is there a reason you can't run three ignition wires to coil and skip the other wires to get it running?

Red-Red
White -White
Green - Green
Need to identify second kill switch wire that connects to green.

Power wise I would check the black in that Chinese harness it's probably ground.

Check black stator wire it's probably ground.

Blue wire Chinese harness is most likely AC power and only wire you should have left.

Blue wire - new stator is most likely power and only wire you should have left.

If you're going Ducati type ignition and ditching entirely the Kokusan one, no need for adapters or anything. Stator is a direct fit to main loom and CDI. There's only a chance that the green "kill" wire coming from the loom, will need a bit of elongation to reach the CDI...

And you'll also need a Ducati type flywheel. The one you have won't work...
