Putting alongside a couple of Jets through magnifier , is it normal for sip jets to be oval shaped? The one on left is regular delly 124 and the sip is a 125, it looks big . I know it's a one size over but considerable difference in its bore and it's length. Going through my jet collection as getting a road 3.0, currently on a road 2.0 using a 122

I've found that the sip jet ( 130) I had was a diiferent size to the bgm ones I had so I would try to use the same make of jet as you have installed if you are upjetting

Someone posted a chart on here showing the differences between the Dellorto vs SIP jet sizes. Maybe Vader? The SIP jets were definitely smaller despite the number stamped on them. Hopefully someone has that chart handy and can share.

That would be very useful.

Thanks for that , so my sip 125mj is same as the 122 delly which I'm already running . Good to know. I think I can only go up to 125mj as I haven't got drilled float bowl. 3 over 122 should be more than enough for the road 3 over my road 2. Jets aren't cheap in the uk anymore and have so many of them was hoping not to buy. I will likely end up with a 124 which I've got but better get a 125. Can you confirm that on a 24 mm si that the 125 mj theory is correct , sure I read previously the 24mm can't take advantage of anything bigger unless modded via the float chamber drilling .

Yes the theory is correct. The pathway off the float chamber is a certain size and will become a natural restriction the higher and higher you go. The 26/26 carbs already come opened up to around 2.5mm.

Use what you've got for now. Unless your riding balls out WOT building a lot of heat, the 124 should cover you for average riding.

Just bought a set of bgm jets (115 to 138) from ve uk for 25 quid delivered, considering I've paid over a fiver a jet in the past seems like a bargain
