Every time I see a painted clutch cover I think about painting mine as well. It looks great.

Matches your scoot well.

Is it "Rattle-canned" or Professionally done i.e. Paint Shop?

The Fly is an often overlooked model, but yours is hard to ignore! You've done a wonderful job with it. Nicest I've seen.

it's an easy way of giving your scooter a unique look - i'm very partial to black, it gives the lower part of the scoot a nice pulled-together appearance.

since it's a part that doesn't often get close inspection, rattle-canning it is a reasonable option. it's not difficult to get a nice finish if you prep everything properly.

it looks great mitch!

How did you do that paint job? Did you actually just spray paint it off your scooter? Or did you have to take the part out and then spray can it? I want to spray can mine black now - but do I have to sand off the silver that's on it? Or do I just paint over it?

I took the cover off and spray with rim/wheel cleaner then wipe with dry towel, let it dry off for a bit then I painted it with this ...

I prefer to use this high heat paint bec clutch cover get hot so paint will be safe
I'm glad it went well.
Don't hurry to paint it, take your time so it will look great!
I like how it looks now... before it was silver... it was annoying... kinda too flashy to me... didn't look very clean in that area... now flat black make me feel better Laughing emoticon match with rear shock, air filter, rim ( I painted it) and yes it looks mean! Laughing emoticon I love it Razz emoticon

Beautiful! Thanks for the tips.

That'll be on my Vespa "2-do" list on my day off. Uhh, yes. I did say day (only one).

With the cover off. Did you get a chance to blow-off the accumilated clutch dust?
