Pre march 2006, so had to replace stator along with water pump assembly. Stator was larger than original but now won't start. First attempt there was nothing now cranks but doesn't catch

Tried to attach sound recording from phone but m4a extension not allowed. How to attach sound recording made on iPhone?

What changed in between not cranking and cranking? Or did it just suddenly start cranking on the second attempt?

What is the voltage at the battery?

Was this ever resolved? I am experiencing the same issue with my GTS built 02/06. I measured resistance across pick up at connector so I believe the sensor is ok.

If you measured the two wires to the mag pickup, you should see some coil resistance. But if it got knocked out of position by the mag flywheel like mine did, it will still measure correctly but not in position to operate.
