Parade Flags and Mounts arrived just in time! They're from Performance Parts International (aka ProPad) # RFM-FXD115 for 3/4" Round Bars fitting 10"x15" Flags (and not cheap). A little loose on the Vespa rail, but fixed using a strip of rubber cut from an old bicycle inner tube clamped unseen inside. Will have to remount when the rack for the Topcase arrives.

60+ views and not one comment... wonder if that's a record?
Checked further... it isn't.

Thanks!
I couldn't find any 19 mm (?) metric-sized Vespa flag mounts other than a spring-loaded fender-edge clamp-on. Made for Harley product pricing is almost as bad as Piaggio's. But they are stainless steel and rock solid; I'm not going to complain.

Lookin' good, Shaardvark! I'd've replied earlier, but I'm away on vacation at the moment. (And I see other comments are starting to come in!)

Now I'm wondering... is putting (national) flags on poles on bikes (and by extension, scoots) just an American thing? My search for products would seem to indicate it is. The rest of the world goes with stickers and badges, yes?

Both in the UK and here in the US I've modded the lip of topboxes to take the clip-on-the-window flags. Flew St George's flag around SF on the 23 April.

However, flying a large Union Jack on a pole on a motorcycle would proclaim the rider as rather right-wing I expect.

So mostly an American thing.

Probably better to not go any deeper than that; thanks for confirming my suspicions.

As would here. I've yet to see a big-assed flag on a bike, but man, seems like sky's the limit with pickup trucks.

FWIW, you're in the sane category IMHO. Particularly in a parade....

Track down the Patriot Guard in your area and ride on some missions with them; good people and into some serious flag displaying.

Quite the same over here.

Flag stickers mostly by those who ride abroad too, among collected flag stickers from other countries.

Sports events are an exception, though. Especially if a World Championship is on the stage

To (badly) paraphrase: it's the ride, not the decoration.
Yes! I've found my Profile "quote".

St George's Day.

Patron saint of England. We don't make much of a fuss about it, unlike the American version of St Patrick's day.

As in, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_George_and_the_Dragon.
TMI, I know, but in the US we don't have any good stories from the 11th century.
