I'm building a motor from pieces and need to rebuild the Cush drive. While it's open, I'm considering switching the 23/65 stock clutch and primary for the Malossi 24/63 straight tooth overdrive kit. My question though, can a stock 200cc top end pull that? Maybe down the line I'll up the cc's but for now, what say ye?

If you fit a 60mm crank in the stock cylinder, as well, it will easily pull the 24/63. This will make it fully future proof too.

My stock 200 engines are probably much more stock than any of jack's stock 200s. No way will any of my 200 pull a 24/63. In fact i always install a short 4th in all my stock 200 builds. But i also have to contend with headwinds and hills where i ride. For a stock cylinder, what about a 24 tooth clutch and a short 4th? We all want our scooters to go just a bit faster, but asking for a 5mph increase just by gearing alone is probably too much to ask from a stock engine.
