Hi all. I got in an accident (guy tagged me from behind and sent me flying...luckily no serious injuries) on my LX150 and it was on its side for a while. When I got it home, it was leaking oil from around the air filter. I cleaned out the box and put in a new filter. I've taken it for a couple short rides and it runs okay - except that every so often the check engine light comes on and the engine hesitates for a few seconds, then it seems to go back to normal. Any thoughts on what could be causing this or steps I might take to diagnose the issue? Thanks

You still might have some residual oil clogging up the airflow. I've had to remove the intake and airbox and clean it repeatedly on other scooters I have worked on. Have you checked your oil level lately?

Thanks - the oil level does look low. Would that lead to a hesitating condition?

I believe what you are referring to as "check engine" light is actually a "low oil pressure" light.
If you didn't check your oil immediately afterwards you probably ran with low oil.
And yes, running with low oild will rather quickly result in all sorts of bigger problems.

if it fell on the side with the airbox (that's left on a lx isn't it?) then really really check the air filter as mentioned above. too much oil in the filter will starve the engine of air causing hesitation
