Thanks, I took it for a cross country trip *) last year and stability seemed pretty good - probably because the weight is also pretty low and I did not go off-road.
And ... yes it is pretty wide, so no lane splitting
I did not notice it on the road - probably because I was doing the trip on my own and did not have to share the lane with other MCs.
Only downsides was I could not get the hang of setting it on center stand with the left pannier on, because it blocks the center stand "step" - it might be possible to pull the Vespa up from behind with some training. Also the panniers are sticking out into "the wind" so I did notice reduced top-speed on motor-way in headwind.
*) It's Denmark, so getting cross the country is basically a one-day drive
