In the German forum there is an overview of the compatible or incompatible parts between pre-facelift and MY23 facelift.

If you have comments, then please post here (please without quoting the following list) or write to me, then I update.

The list refers to the most common add-on parts or accessories as Piaggio/Vespa original part (unless it explicitly says a manufacturer). I try to focus on the parts that are exchanged / modified by many for customization, but not individual screws, etc.. For comparable products from accessory suppliers if necessary separate compatibility information note, but this list should help to draw conclusions from the compatibility / non-compatibility (so if the Vespa / Piaggio original part does not fit, you can / must doubt the compatibility of the accessory item).

Differences / similarities of the pre-FL to the MY23 Facelift from front to back:.

- Fender bumper / front chess bar: not compatible.
- Fender nipple: not compatible
- Rim front/rear: compatible
- Wheel hub cap: compatible
- Swingarm cover: compatible
- Front shock absorber: not compatible
- Cascade/Tie with cascade inserts: compatible* (Note: Cascade and cascade inserts old/new are not compatible with each other). * Due to different thickness/form of leg shield surround fit is 99%
- Turn signal front: not compatible
- Mono slot tube/ leg shield surround: not compatible.
- Leg shield bar / front crash bar: not compatible
- Ventilation grille inserts: not compatible
- Windshield: not compatible
- Mirror: not compatible, adapter needed
- Headlight: according to user of German forum compatible (see also lamp trim ring)
- Lamp ring: probably not compatible (according to user of German Forum compatible, according to SIP not compatible)
- Handlebar cover top/bottom: not compatible
- Speedometer ring non-ST: not compatible / Speedometer ring SuperTech: not compatible
- Brake lever: not compatible
- Grip rubbers: compatible (according to a user of German forum)
- Handlebar end weights: compatible
- Footrests: compatible
- Seat: compatible (from 2014, pre-2014 seats must be adapted)
- Passenger grab handle/luggage rack: compatible
- Rear crash bar: not compatible
- Oil pan: compatible (also the one with sight glass from the Buchsenfuchs)
- Cover variomatic / clutch: compatible
- Rear shock absorber: compatible
- Speedwheel (according to user of German forum)
- Exhaust: compatible (Euro 5)
- Exhaust cover: compatible
- Tail light frame: not compatible
- Rear light: not compatible
- Turn signal rear: not compatible

Did I forget something? Should anyone disagree, please info, then I would clarify / add to this post if necessary.

Thanks for doing the research. You've probably saved a lot of people a lot of time.

I hadn't realised how different the 2023 model is. I thought it was a brake and suspension upgraded with a key-less fob and a couple of cosmetic tweaks.

I now own a face-lift, and there are more differences than listed. It is not just components. Everything has been made more inaccessible, more difficult to do. Every job now has about half a dozen more nuts/screws to be undone, and some of them will be very hard to get at.

Tinkering used to be one of my hobbies, always trying to squeeze that little bit more out of the machine, but that hobby has now been taken away from me (my increasing age no doubt played a part - I'm 85!).

I don't deny that a lot has changed, especially behind the leg shield fairing. My aim was to show which parts can and cannot be exchanged between the two models; I deliberately limited myself to the visible parts or the parts that GTS owners like to modify. See also my introductory explanation in the first post.
