It was time to perform the valve check adjust on my Liberty.
The pictures will basically show what I had to remove to gain free and uncluttered access to the valve cover.
The floor board and rear section can be removed without removing the colored plastic bits that run down the sides, a little tricky and nothing broke.

The exhaust valve was to spec, .004", the intakes were tight.
I used a .005" feeler gauge to set which compensated when tightening the lock nuts, perfect drag with a .004" gauge.
This worked for me but maybe not for you, valve lash adjustments can go either way when tightening the jamb nut, loose or tight.

Overall pretty easy and now will be the time to install the side stand kit.

I just removed the panel in front/below the seat. Loosened the rear shock. Easy peasy.

I'll be darned, I threw the Malossi variator kit at Mantis and there is a difference. The engine used to feel held back, restricted you might say, not now. Quick ride around the block due to all the rain we've been getting but that's a good thing. Will try it on my favorite road tomorrow and see how it does.

I researched a valve adj on the LIBERTY scooter before my purchase.
I wouldn't have purchased it if a valve adjustment required more than Clampett's method!🙂

Yes, it is a little tight when the floor panel is left in place for a valve check on the new Liberty. I have hands like Easter hams, but releasing the shock,
I'm guessing releasing the shock provides easier access? Noted and thank you, I'll check that out next valve check/adjustment.
I am installing the side stand kit so removing the cover also allowed easy access to the interlock connector and removal of the filler panel.
