So, from Trimdon I take the country lanes to Sedgefield, then Bishopton (one of my favourite local villages) and the small, quiet settlements of Redmarshall, Stillington, Carlton, Thorpe Leazes and Thorpe Thewles.
Hardly any traffic around except for a few farmer's tractors, a couple of bicycle pelotons, and some equestrians. Two and a half hours and perhaps around fifty fun miles.
