I have a full face helmet that blocks out much of the wind/road noise.

However, when I wear a 3/4 helmet, the wind noise is truly painful.

I'm just wondering if there are any vintage-style cloth helmet liners with built in ear cups to isolate the rider's ears from the wind stream.

Bonus if it has built in speakers.

Here are some vintage examples of what I'm talking about.

I guess convertable car drivers are more likely to wear these.

Instead of helmet liners that won't be half as good, why not use purpose made earplugs to deal with noise? Much better at preserving your hearing and helping you to stay alert.

As for anything less than a full face helmet, sure it's noisier in the same way that it is much less safer to ride in. No surprises here.

I have a hard time picturing how any of those would fit under my helmet.

I wear hearing aids, so ear plugs are not possible.

I wear hearing aids too, but I take them out when I'm riding, and use ear plugs.

Ok, thank you for clarifying.

There are threads about the topic of hearing aids and motorcycle riding on other sites (example below), the majority advise to remove hearing aids before riding, as they don't do anything to protect your hearing.

I use my hearing aids in place of a Bluetooth headset to listen to driving directions from my phone. Otherwise I agree, much easier to just remove them.
