Modern Vespa

The reason, short answer, we use forums to help us teach. Focus mainly on the technical posts but at times will participate in others. There is a lot to learn in these posts and the information gained Is very helpful.

I'll now speak on a personal level. The video post was to simply know the why. On a technical level the video was not very helpful, production level it was very good. I made the comments and asked the questions to know exactly that - why? I wanted to know what made it great for you, it would have been very helpful. I never mention this up front because it will skew the answers. The other posts (good or bad) were just personal interest and trying to be helpful. Back to the video thread, I thought the OP was going to be the one, I even asked for specifics so I could help him (I know and worked with a Honda small engine tech specialist) but it was not meant to be and the thread just went south. As a suggestion just try and answer a question. You may find out you learned something or taught someone (show of hands, who took in a breath with your mouth open and closed).

I actually like this forum and would have liked to hang out but I knew when it went south. The cat in the cup member, perfect avatar for you, posted a funny little Italian women cafe post and asked what do we do, yes, we ignore them. This to me is the hive mentality, a call to arms sort of speak. It was also mentioned in the video thread as we don't like it. At this point the writing was on the wall.

A thank you to Elvis, who is now Buddy Holly, for engaging with me and answering questions. I wasn't interested in the vintage scooter, another was, and is having a hard time finding something that the seller doesn't think is worth a fortune. For anyone wanting to know pure talent, read the not so modern Vespa threads, wealth of information and skill.

An apology to Jess for causing any unrest with the members. You're a fair dude (none of us really care what color a Ferrari is).

Finally to the narcissist who wouldn't know me if I walked past you but wanted to tell me, and everyone, who I was and explain my posts. You, my friend, are just bad for business.

Maybe it's because of my bad English that I don't understand every nuance, but I don't see anything in the closed thread why this had to escalate so much.

In any case, this^^^ does not make it better.

To me, thiis topic is spam. Its been posted by a forum member that doesnt seem to know where the 'just walk away' button is and its bound to end up another locked topic. Lets save everyone the hassle by calling it out to the mods before it goes any further.

Honestly, this topic is not likely to elicit any additional insight. On the contrary, it is likely to end in more people getting steamed at each other. Ultimately, we'll all be dumber for having participated in the exchange. In other words, the opposite of insight.

Please let it go.
