Have Hurricane 200X mini bike and TW200. A bit long in the tooth so wanting to go to a scooter. Lots of questions such as where to find a dealer close to North Alabama and any groups to join..

Are you looking for a Vespa? I'd start with Craigs list, Facebook Market Place, and maybe Bring A Trailer. A google search will find scooter dealers, and service providers. However, you may have to make some phone calls to see if they are familier with our little Italians.

Which would depend upon what you want to do with it. Inter city riding under 35 mph - a 50cc will do. Going outside the city, running up to 55 -60 mph - a 150cc model. If you want to do highway or two up often - then an older 250 or 300.

Thanks to all for the info. Thinking I want a 150cc Vespa but will need to go kick tires in person. Nearest dealer is in B'ham. Yes joined Scoot Happens.

Welcome from a former Huntsville resident. You've got some lovely county to explore over there! Plus, you're not too from great roads like the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway.

Last trip back, my buddy and I spent a day exploring Jackson County on a pair of 125cc Kymcos. If we could get up Keel Mountain on 7hp each, a Vespa 150 will work nicely for most riding unless you really want to go far afield.
