Hi, I'm new to the forum and was hoping someone could give me some advise please.
I have a 2022 gts 300 hpe which is used mainly to get to work and back. This morning the engine light came on shortly after starting my journey and when I stopped at traffic lights the idle was sitting up slightly, got to work and the idle was up and down. After work the scooter took around 6 or 7 attempts before it started but ran fine on the way home. I have plugged it into a code reader which says the fault code is P0199 temperature sensor.
Could someone advise me as to what sensor it will be and where it is located please?
The scooter is still under warranty but my nearest vespa dealer is around 40 miles away and they are booked up until the end of July and I need it sorted asap.
Thanks

are you sure it was P0199 as that's generally Oil Temp which the HPE doesn't monitor. maybe it was P0119 which is Coolant Temp.

for the Coolant temp, look for the green plug (see pic) it could just be loose. And check your coolant level behind the righthand 'knee pad' cover on the glove box.
green water temp plug. (not my engine bay - it's way too clean)

Thanks SteelBytes, you are correct the code is P0119, after removing and refitting the connector all seems good now. Cheers
