Modern Vespa

Just got a GTS 300 Touring 2022 Vespa. I was specifically looking for this since the colors didn't appeal to me on any of the normal GTS300s. This came with a brown leather seat which I love but there's a problem.

I'm 6'4" and the seat has a bump in the middle to provide for a front and rear passenger. Due to my height, it always feels like the right distance on the seat is on that damn hump. Behind it is too far and in front of it seems too close. Has anybody else had this problem? Is it just me or is this made for short people? Any suggestions?

Yes, I can imagine this is a problem for a guy of your size. In short you basically have 3 options (cheapest to most expensive)

1. You can go to a fabric store [Joanne's] and buy your own brick of foam and mold (cut it) into the desired shape and thickness and then use a seat cover and put it on. You can make it as thick or thin as you like. You can put multiple layers in the pan of the seat and just make it flat.

2. Buy a replacement seat from a 3rd party vendor. Pick one that fits you. Most importantly make sure their is a return policy so you can try it out. Ebay also has some seats available. I attacked a seat called a solo seat made by vespa.

3. You can take your current seat off and send it in or take it to a furniture maker. They can take out the foam and just build ya a block of foam and cover it with anything you like.
