Removing fuel pump for Gilera Nexus 500

Hi all, I need to remove the fuel pump for my Nexus 500, but there are these ring latches, that I just cant seem to figure out how to remove.

I found two topics where they are mentioned:
- BV 500: How to Fix the Hose Clamp Problem at Fuel Pump
- How do you remove this hose?

But when I try to "press down" on the ring, nothing seems to happen, there is no give. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the pump? I dont want to risk breaking the mechanism, because from what I understand, if I do that, I will need to replace the whole unit.

Looks like I just had to pull on the hose, then I could press the clamp down. Thanks.
