Modern Vespa

I'm puzzled. All of a sudden my ignition switch with key in won't "push" to open the glove compartment. First time in nine years that's happened, and there is no "push in" possible on the key to release the lid.

A connection seems unlikely, but a week earlier, I replaced the halogen headlight bulb, which required some of disassembly of handlebar top panel. It had nothing to do with headlight switch or glove compartment, but it's too coincidental on timing to ignore. Replace bulb …… ignition switch won't push.

Ideas anyone?

Not sure if you ever removed the back panel/glovebox panel of the GTS, but there is a plastic lever that is attached to cable. Maybe that unit came undone? If you take your left "Kneepad" cover off, you can reach in there and push that lever to open the glovebox…
