Modern Vespa

After a year and a half of riding 600 miles a week, I have to quit DD because of another health issue. I have to cut back on spending time in the seated position.
The black beater is sold. Too bad because I wanted to break my personal record of 62,000 miles on a bike.
Here's where it gets weird.
About 2016, I tried to sell my black beater. It had less than 20,000 miles on it and was asking $1,000. It got little interest and I showed it to one person. I ended up being glad no one wanted it. I made over $25,000 averaging 25 hours a week. 60% in the saddle and 40% waiting for orders.
Now. I sold it for $1,100 with 53,000 miles. In one hour I got more than 20 contacts. How did this bike get so much interest.
I hope I don't get PTSD from owning only one bike

the fact the national average gasoline price in the usa has gone up 65% since 2016 ($3.51/gal now vs $2.14 then) may have something to do with it.

WLeuthold was thinking about using it for Cannonball. I think may. Someone in Miami wants $5,000 for one. In GA. they want $3,900.
I paid $4,100 new for that beater.
