My opinion, I think greasy125 is right on. Attractive Vintage, but unreliable.
So, I am only a candidate for a brand new scooter made to look retro. Experience: At the annual scooter rally here in Minneapolis, they have to have a recovery vehicle follow the large group rides to pick up all the vintage scoots that die at stops and will not restart. But, I admire you good souls who want the classic vintage ride. For years in my youth, I had to drive old MG sport cars. They quit running or had something go wrong every third Thursday. I had to have form over function, wearing my slant hat waiving at all the girls. Hey, I would even ride with to top down in the Winter (Windows up) to look cool. But no more. Bob Copeland God bless the Brits, but, the MG was a challenge and unreliable. Didn't care, had to have one
Driving that MG sport car, you had to wear this eight panel Hanna Hat from Ireland. Excuse my vulgarity, in college, we called this " A catch me F---- me Hat" It is actually a version of the old News Boy Hat.

Bob Copeland I doubt if I could keep a proper British roadster running anyway (or a vintage scooter either) so we settled for something as close and affordable as we could to 'the real thing'...without it actually being it. |

JBacklund,
That Mazda is gorgeous and bullet proof reliable. Oh my gosh, it is even red! You got the plan, roof down, windows up and the heat on. You really need to go on google and look up Hannah Hats of Donegal Ireland. Even though you are already the coolest guy in town with that great roadster - the hat would round out "You the Man". Nice car, Bob Copeland https://hannahats.com/ |

^^^ I must agree, it's even in my sig vvv
Their 'charm' is vastly overrated, don't fall for the hype!!! ... plus a real danger of addiction issues as well. Please stick to the sensible and cleaner 4 stroke models that don't require constant complicated clutching & shifting. The irrational current demand for crude older 2 stroke 'vintage' models is pushing prices up to crazy new levels for unreliable vehicles you really can't trust! |
