Modern Vespa

I'm new to the forum and would like to thanks all of you in advance

I recently acquired a Fly 125 from 2007 in Europe. He run well but I just hit 55...56 mph but think its normal.

Since my exhaust was very rusty I changed it for a Tecnigas maxi 4. Problem is.. I got the impression that he need more gas or air since I have the Keihin CVK in it. Past 20mph it takes age to get to merely 50mph. It perform worst than my catalytic rusty one Could it be possible that he run lean ?

Also I didn't remove or block the SAS valve yet. I have 8.6 rollers in it. From stop he accelerate well but give up after 20mph. No more good pick up too. I don't want to make a hole in the piston.
Could it be that my airfilter is soaked with gas because I lean the scooter on the side for the exhaust change?

I think you need the snorkel and airbox perfect in order to get the carb to work right. I had similar problems when I worked on a friends. Don't remember how long it took to get to speed but it felt good/predictable.

Ok thanks! I'm going to check and clean the airbox and the snorkel in it. But I heard that is not needed to re-jet. I don't understand how could I lose power with the tecnigas ...
