looking for recommendations on some inside the house helmet hooks. ideally something that I can throw a helmet on, not dangle the helmet by its strap. I was looking on amazon but they didnt look safe, and most of them have stupid american flag skulls all over them

If you're going to screw something into the wall anyway, why not put up a shelf? Then you can just set the helmet down.

Whatever you use, be careful not to compress the styrofoam liner over time. Good luck.

I stash my helmets on a shelf in our garage...well, actually two shelves, after my little helmet collection outgrew the first.

For several helmets that I seldom, if ever, wore, I bought a couple of foam mannequin display heads on eBay and had them displayed in the house for a time.

Aerostich sells these: https://www.aerostich.com/aerostich-helmet-suit-holder-complete-set.html

They also have one that hangs on your cube wall.

jimc maybe I am having a slow morning but I have no idea how you would use a dog toy for this.

Syd the Aerostich racks look very cool.

My thoughts exactly

My concern exactly.

What I've spent on my last three helmets could buy me another really nice used Vespa. Why would I want to cause premature, unnatural wear on them?

People have offered to send those hook thingies to me to me to review but I've declined them... Not worth it, even free, imo. Food for thought.

You place the helmet upside down on the ring.

This is great, until the day you see the dog running round the house with the ring.
