I have a 2012 Vespa LX 50 2T.
I was, and am, having some issues with the engine cutting out after being on the road for 10-15 minutes. It also was taking a long time to start from time to time.
From the various posts I had read pertaining to this issue, what I gleaned was that the culprit is usually a bad CDI and/or carburetor.
So...I replaced the existing CDI unit with a new one and the scooter starts up right away now, but....today when I took the short ride to the market, it died after about 4 minutes. Needless to say it is a royal pain to have to walk the scooter back to my house !
I did order a new carburetor, but it will not arrive for about 10 days. There is only one Vespa dealer here in Tahiti and they did not have the carburetor in stock, so I ordered one for SIP in Germany.
Anyway....very frustrated with my dilemma, needless to say.
Anyone here have any other thoughts or suggestions ? I did replace the fuel and vacuum lines as well, so that box has been ticked.
Perhaps it will be mitigated after installing the new carburetor?
Thanks in advance.
