What is the weight of a stock SS180 flywheel?

Official weight = "pretty heavy".

OK... I can try and weigh mine when I get home if no one posts sooner with the actual weight.

Cool! I'm pretty sure it's either 2300g or 2600g.

Cant confirm accuracy of budget scales, but 2900 is what I get if this helps.

If you are looking for something lighter than stock, I have this one that is turned down.

Wow! Heavier than I thought. I'm looking for just the opposite. I firmly believe that the new electronic flywheels are too light and change the wonderful smooth torque of the SS motor. Trying to encourage a friend to stay stock.

Yes. The stock heavy flywheel makes the SS180 pull like a train through the gears. Perfect for around town riding.

Also the heavy flywheel smooths out the hammering the crank puts on the clutch. I have seen light weight flywheels destroy clutches fast.

Then again, I much prefer points ignition to electronic too. If points are set up right to start, they are very reliable. Electronic is expensive and less reliable than points. Just my opinion.
