Have any of you guys owned one of these? never seen one or even knew they were made for the American market. Seems they were really popular in Europe.
I have a chance to pick up a mint 2004 model with 1200 miles. What's your thoughts about these? Scoot is similar to this one.

Is it the 50 or the 150? I believe the drive train is Et2 and Et4. Great looking scooter. A Honda Joker knock off. I dig the thick chrome exposed handlebars.

Its being offered to me before it goes thru an estate auction. It does run. Seller knows nothing about it. I go look at it Sunday.

if it's cheap and it runs, sure. but good luck finding ANY body work, or any of the controls/electrics/gauges specific to the platform.

the 150 engine is ET4, but everything else is its own deal. the 50 is not ET2, it's morini but there's tons of parts for those.

Agree with Greasy above. If it's cheap enough and has the engine size you want, go for it. Be aware (as mentioned) Aprilia parts can be an absolute b!tch to find.

Honda produced the Joker in 1996 (SRX50/90 Shadow in the US) which looked almost identical. Maybe some parts are interchangeable.

I can tell you with near absolute certainty that almost nothing will interchange. maybe a fuel pump. possibly some brake pads.

because Aprilia liked to play grab bag in the parts bin you can get Piaggio, Derbi, ducati or rotax parts-- roll the dice.

all of the body work is specific only to Aprilia and within that only to the 150.

the joker was a wildly successful bike, hence why all the Chinese clones of it. but in terms of anything crossing over between them and the mojito, it's about as far off as trying to get a chevy fender on a Honda.

I know of 3 off Aprilia scooters with the similar shape:Havana, Mojito and Custom

Beautiful scooter, pity that the parts quality is not better.

My experience.

150 Mojito Custom. I loved that scoot. Extremely comfortable seat and riding position. Same as the et4 mechanics. For parts you might try:

I thought it was a quality scooter.

When I was a lad, one of the neighbors had put a Firebird front end, (fenders/hood/grill) on a Camaro. Looked pretty good and it took a while to figure out exactly what you were looking at.
