Everything I need to do the 6000 mile valve clearance check myself on my GTS300 showed up yesterday in my mailbox.

Everything that is, except the confidence to undertake the procedure.

But, the Gods willing, and armed with Robot's valve check procedure video freshly impressed upon my small brain, I might just get through it.

I need to get this thing done before I can ride the GTS 600 miles to St. Paul (and back) in early September.

Good on you!!! I purchased the tools and did the 600 check on my Liberty, then on my Primavera, but chickened out on valve check on the GTS.

Isn't it 9k miles for valve checking?
6000 miles seems really soon for Valve adjustment even for the HPE

My 2015 Sprint 150 is 6000 miles,
2018 GTS 300 recommendation is 15k miles

I adjusted the valves on my Sprint 150 way early at under 2000 miles even though it was running good, it was not hard, they weren't way out of specs.
Set up, tying down the scooter in my DIY wheel chock and detaching the rear shock (+ground straps & misc) and having a good scissors jack to lift from center rear floor area to pivot engine was key to be able to access valve cover bolts

Owner's manual for the 2020 GTS300 HPE shows the valve clearance check interval to be 6.2 thousand miles, or 10,000 kilometers.

I think I read someplace (probably here) that earlier GTS300's had longer intervals for this service.

By the way, I ordered these tools online from Scooterwest on the 17th, and they were in my mailbox in western South Dakota yesterday, Monday, the 21st.

"Exceptional service...I must say!"
