After having a "not dealing with any intelligent thought" human who thought they could just skewer my ignition and rip off the front plate and take bolt cutters to the back side of my ignition. Rendering it completely useless, I finally bought another scooter and ScooterGirl is back! I bought a 2009 Lx 150 with only 599 miles on it for a great deal. However, I only have the brown master key. I have the key card. What is the best course of action here?[/img]
She just needs a name now.

Easiest…if you can spare the keys for a few days is mail your master key to af1racing in Austin and they will clone some more. Look on their website. I think Scooterwest will do this also.

If you wait a few minutes Jim will come along and suggest a better way Facepalm emoticon

buy a spare key and have a *competent* locksmith cut it, then just code it yourself.

here's the key: https://scooterpartsco.com/030-piaggio-c-801_836/blue-key-blank-for-vespa-with-immobilizer-p-211.html

programming it:

Yes that key comes with a chip. The idea is that a locksmith cuts the physical key and then you can program that chip using your Vespa and your master key to be recognized by your immobilizer.

If you send your key to AF1 they will cut the key and program it for you and charge you for that. Greasy is suggesting that you do the programming yourself by following the instructions.

I have never tried it. I have read some stories from those who have and most of them were successfully after a 'valuable learning experience'.

You choose based on your idea of fun.

First look at the photo, the name is what I see.
Spirit of the Forest she is. Mature, looks lovely, misty like a spirit.

What do you see? What name do you hear?

Well, I already have a Silkie, so I hear the name Shadow for some reason.
