We didnt go for a while becauce of Covid, but we are back & ready to Swarm! We first did this in 2002 and have done it almost every year since. You will see just how long, Long Island is, in a day!
Be prepared for a full day of riding. Bring money, bring snacks, bring a jacket. We will be stopping for Gas and having lunch in Montauk. We will try to be home by dark. It is a one day trip.
Average speed is 45 mph but we do go faster. A 150cc or better is advised. Motorcycles are always welcome. Average ride time to get there is 4+ hours and back, about 3+ or so.
Our there route is not straight there. We take many roads. We do not make sightseeing stops, there is plenty to see on the way. Our goal is to reach the Lighthouse, have lunch and get home by dark. We meet early at 8am at our Nassau County HQ at Town Bagel 1133 Old Country Road, Plainview NY. We will pick up more, soon after at our Suffolk HQ at Tim Horton/Bolla/Mobil at 700 Motor Pkwy at the North Service Road of the LIE (Long Island Expressway).
