Just picked this one up a couple of days ago. This is by far my favorite Vespa.

It is the nicest of the modern Vespas tho the low placement of the headlight makes me anxious…😂

I love the fender headlight on my 2007 GTV. Serious question, what makes you anxious about it?

It started with FDR in the 30's as a means of timing the end-of-year lulls so they didn't happen during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Then it continued when TV shows started airing new seasons in the fall and auto mfg wanted to sell their new designs at the height of TV commercial viewership. Now it's just a weird marketing tradition. I hate it too FWIW.

Excellent historic back story to the early release of the next year models. In my life time, it seems to have always been the new year models are released early in the Fall and the dealers start discounting the prior year to move them out.

Also, it is not that they just put a new year on the same prior years vehicles. The model may actually change. It might also be that the manufactures have advanced tooled up for the new model year - they have them, so why not release and sell them. It is getting somewhat ridiculous when the new year models are coming ou earlier and earlier. It is almost like you can purchase the next years model in June of the current year.
