Years ago I saw that adding a buzzer to the turn signals to remind one to turn them off was a popular MV topic. Recently I saw a Facebook posting on the topic and, although I lean towards my paying attention to everything when driving and I saw the mod was for an older Vespa, I got to wondering if adding a buzzer was possible, electrically speaking, on modern LED-equipped scooters.
*
A search here and elsewhere reveals nothing current (sorry!) on the subject.
*
So, this a question not on the merits of adding a buzzer or two, it is a question of feasibility.

It appears nobody here has done this, so for now I'll assume I shouldn't either.

Add a light to your mirrors. I look at my mirrors more than the spedo.

Hey OP,

My 2015 GTS 300 SS has a turn signal reminder but it's more of a beep than a buzz… It actually comes from the LED relay that I installed when I upgraded my turn signals. Got it from ScooterWest. Hope that helps

Other than the wiring, using modern LED-powered mirrors sounds like a neat idea... now if someone could do a Vespa how-to video !

I saw this mentioned in the old discussions, which is why I asked about current LED-equipped scoots. I wonder if that old upgrade relay is compatible.

It's probably not compatible with the newer scoots. Maybe give SW a call tomorrow and see if they know.

ScooterWest sells a kit for getting rid of the turn signal pods on Primaveras and Sprints. It includes a new relay that "beeps". It's really quiet and sounds more like tinnitus than anything else. Hard to hear in traffic.

They also sell a module with an audible click, but claim it won't work with their LED kits. It's confusing because the list of bikes they say it will fit includes bikes that came with LED lights. Maybe send them a note.

That's quite true. Maybe this discussion will unearth the facts. Thanks!

I installed Audicator turn signal beepers in my 2015 and 2018 GTS scooters, and am about to install one in my new 2023 model. I will report when I have done it.

It will not be easy - have to pull the handlebars apart to get to the back of the turn signal switch. Need to study Robot's video on how to do that.

Does your new scooter have an LED brake light? That might not work with the audicator and if it does work, please let us know what you did. I love the audicator and have put one on all my bikes for years, it's the tap-of-the-brakes-shutting-down-the-sound part that I really like. However, I recently tried to install one on my Moto Guzzi which has LED brake lights and it won't work with that system. I can get it to beep, but the brakes won't cancel the sound.

I told the Audicator guy about it and he refunded my money because he didn't have a work around. He seemed a little sad so I don't want to bug him anymore, but I would really like to know if anyone has gotten one to work with LED brake lights.

Does anything work with LEDs? I can attest that the ScooterWest Brake Light Modulator does (although space for it is an issue). Not yet heard a good answer for Turn Signals from the MV collective.
