He will be missed, for sure. As a Florida boy, his music was all around us. Down in the Keys, he was considered as nearly a god. In Palm Beach, along the row of mansions facing the Atlantic, on the top of entrance stone column gates at many houses, there are lions, pineapples, etc. At his estate there are two large parrots - one for each side.

Yes, rest in Peace. I also spent my teen years and college years listening to him in FL.

Got to see him play an impromptu concert at a military club in CA about 1988.

Another great artist lost. One of my favorites.
The pinnacle of his creation "The Asshole Song".
I'd post it here but I don't know how. Maybe someone else

I remember in 1977 I went to pick up a girl for a first date. I had been playing a Jimmy Buffett cassette tape on the way there. I had a separate player in the glove box. Right before we took off, I reached over to push the cassette in. Wouldn't you know what was playing? I had forgotten.
