The varying conditions made for a good show.

My takeaway here is that chaos makes for an entertaining race.

I propose that for 2026, the regulations should require that oil be sprayed on the track at random intervals at various points in the race.

That'll mix things up.

Last few races Max no longer having a Sunday jaunt.

Logan Sargent should have a career change and become a crash test dummy.

He is genuinely awful. I mean, he's obviously a much better race car driver than I am. But I bet I could beat him in a code-a-thon.

Just got back from Le Mans from watching the practice and testing before the race this weekend.

Not much beats 118 VW Fun Cup cars all looking for Pole Position at the same time.

Small Edit - Cadillac are using a 5.5 Litre normally aspirated engine that sounds like the End of Days.

However it's not a good as last year's NASCAR entry. I don't have the metaphors to describe that.

Some very fun opening laps today in F1. George getting feisty but ultimately unable to hold the lead.

There's an IMSA race at Watkins Glen at the moment which is a lot more interesting than the Grand Prix.

Good enough race for me. And, confirming something I've been speculating about for some time now, Carlos Sainz actually does sound at least a little bit like Kermit the Frog.

Surprised about Stroll. When they announced they were going into WEC / Le Mans with the Newey design Valkyrie, I really thought they would have gone for the Le Mans win with Lance.

Also wonder if putting Newey's car into WEC has anything to do with attracting Newey to the team….?

I very much doubt you'll ever see Lance in an Aston Martin at Le Mans.

He doesn't have that level of talent.

Hartley, Gio and Kubica didn't have too much pace at the end of their F1 days but have performed extremely well at Le Mans.

Being a marathon and not a sprint, I think Le Mans maybe demands a bit less outright driver talent in comparison to F1.

In 2015, Hulk managed to complete an F1 calendar and disappear for 24 hours mid season to win Le Mans… so I guess Stroll could still potentially compete in that single race.

Tom Kristensen would argue that you don't know what you're talking about and I'd agree with him.

How involved / experienced was Hulk in WEC before his Le Mans debut and win in 2015? I know he'd committed to a full F1 calendar and had a weekend off to compete in Le Mans, but I don't know how extensive his WEC training was that year.

And do you think Antonio Giovinazzi could take an F1 championship if we were to return to the sport?

Yes, but he was easily in the best car and was supported by two of the best Endurance Racers out there so to suggest that F1 drivers will automatically do well in IMSA or WEC just isn't true.

Some Ex F1, Indycar and NASCAR drivers do well in Endurance Racing but Lance Stroll isn't one of them because he crashes cars, acts petulant and didn't earn that seat on merit.

Would you give your car to a guy who can't keep a car on a track for 2 hours let alone 24 ?
