I think Aston is the nicer package for Adrian though. Dan Fallows was the full time designer behind the 2021 Red Bull and the initial 2022 philosophy. He was seen as Adrians right hand man, but obviously needs a bit more training before he can stand on his own two feet, and so this solution works best for both of them.

Then they've got newest and best wind tunnel, newest facilities.

And the icing on the cake is Honda. Honda themselves said that McLaren viewed them as a bolt on part of the car and never really worked with them - whereas they attribute a lot of their recent success to how they collaborated with Adrian - working through technical solutions together.

Which is ironic when you consider just how awful the Honda engine was when they were working with McLaren.

I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, frankly. I think they should have replaced him at the start of this season -- he clearly wasn't making progress.

It's a fine question. I would think Liam Lawson, but Red Bull have made a point of stating that VCARB is officially their junior team, so it makes more sense for Lawson to go to VCARB.

So that means either that Ricciardo gets the boot, or Ricciardo gets promoted to the senior team. Which... yeah. I don't think he has earned.

I also see Red Bull having an entirely new line up in 2026 when Ford will be fully involved and therefore have more say so in who to sign.

I think you grossly overestimate how much power Ford will actually have.

I think their capacity to mess it up will be limited to their partial role in the power unit, rather than any team politics. Which isn't to say they won't mess it up.

What they did to Stewart F1 is a brilliant example of Ford being Ford.

When they don't get the results they expected, they look at the receipts, decide it's not worth it and leave.

I stand by my belief that Ford, at this juncture, lacks anything remotely resembling control over the Red Bull team. Given a standoff between Christian Horner and the Ford corporate weenies, I put my money on Christian Horner. Not because I like him or think he's upstanding -- quite the opposite. I think he's a ruthless bastard.

Ford doesn't stand a chance.
