TwistAndGo wrote: It appears to be a problem with the latest version of Tor Browser and Windoze. It seems that the executable is being flagged by Windows Defender as containing a trojan. Apparently, it started just a few days ago with the latest automatic update of Tor Browser. One cannot connect with Tor Browser at all, let alone visit any sites with it. It will just sit there trying to connect, then report that it is possibly blocked. It's Windows. Oh, and Terra Firma. |

Settle down, everyone. Everyone can just take a chill pill.
As for Tor, I don't know much about the latest outage, but I do know that a bunch of Tor exit nodes got temporarily auto-blocked by the automated spam defenses. We generally just ignore the spambots, but occasionally they actually do hostile things (like SQL injection attacks) and then their IP gets automatically banned for a while. And since they use Tor a lot, that means that statistically the IP addresses getting temp-banned skew towards Tor exit nodes. I've cleaned up a bunch of them, not sure if that will help or if the Windows problem is the root cause. But again, we aren't doing any blanket-block of Tor. |

Anyway, it manifests itself as such: launch the program and try to connect, and it will never do it, no matter which bridge you use. The program will report that it is possibly blocked. Might have to look for another alternative to Tor Browser altogether. |

It appears that there are two standards here. if you feel that me repeating what you said and recounting your actions is egging you on and insulting you, then perhaps you should take some time of self reflection and carefully choose your words in the future. remember, you are the one that used incredibly nasty language and berating words before, and before you knew any of us or anything about this forum, really. don't forget that, because I certainly won't. my standard is calling a spade a spade, and that you don't like that does not change it. you acted the fool, you got called on it and that planted you squarely in the FO portion of the FAFO graph. have a think on that and like, go touch some grass or something. |

Just meant a low quality keyboard that sometimes doesn't want to register a keystroke at all, then other times, registers several keystrokes. Thinking of swapping it out for a nice keyboard with mechanical switches. |

I agree, it's likely something on the tor side of things, especially since everything worked fine just recently. Definitely nothing to do with Windows on my side.😊

I might be missing something, but it seems that this thread has taken on a weird direction.
Anyway, people are saying here that the speedometers are usually "optimistic" as in report higher than real speed? With my 1980 Bajaj (Vespa Sprint 150), I have not been able to go faster than 48-49 mph. Judging by the speed of other vehicles on a given speed limit zone, I'd say mine is pessimistic. At the end of the day I guess it doesn't matter. Just drive safely! |

Jess,
I also thought (I can not confirm my original source - maybe discussions with my Vespa Dealers service department) That the speedo is off to account for the different wheel/tire sizes that can be installed. Your input that it is linked to not under reporting speed sounds more plausible. As previously posted, GPS on the bike clearly shows the inaccurate reporting that increases with speed. Only the "Shadow" knows. Bob Copeland

Late to this thread (thankfully ) but here's a video I recently made on my 2023 GTS with GPS and speedo side by side. It's off by a good 10 mph at top speed. I will say though, kudos to vespa for using the whole speedometer!
