Hello!

I'm installing a new clutch cable but it doesn't engage the clutch whatsoever no matter how hard I tighten the inner wire.

So I suspect that the cable routing at the handlebar is incorrect.

I drove it out at the small window opening on the gear tube and into the headset through that oval hole and drove it down at the left side behind the clutch cables.

It looks OK.

When you grab the handle it moves the inner cable, yes?

If so, I'd suspect you just need to put more tension on the clutch arm and yard the cable inner cable in further.

Actually, not really. When I pull the lever the outer cable is waggling in the handlebar. At the actuator arm no inner cable movement whatsoever only if I loosen the nipple.

Sounds like it may not be seated correctly in the handle bar? Take off the lever and make sure the outer is snugged up proper at the junction in the handle bar, (where the inner feeds into the outer cable).

When good the inner should move easily without the outer moving much at all.

Maybe it just came out of that seating when I pulled the other end at the engine.
