Modern Vespa

So now that I have the engine running, it is time for a makeover, I will ride it for at least a couple of months first before I drop major money into it.
some of the things that need upgrading are
1 tires
2 suspension
3 headlight
4 speedo
5 scrub and paint, still undecided what color to paint it but it is either gonna be matte black, OD green, rally orange.

so hopefully I can document everything and be helpful to someone else

Yup, unfortunately our selection is limited so it will probably be kendas

Be careful with those, some are only speed rated to 62mph.

Not too worried about that, more worried about them being able to absorb a pot hole, I ride "city" 99.9% of the time and under 35mph.

unfortunately the local Vespa dealer doesn't have anything in stock, even tune-up consumables have to be ordered from the CONUS.

their favorite words are "we can order it for you and it will take 4-6 weeks" well I can order it too and get it in 3 days

I just picked up an '07 250GTS.. that doesn't need tires. It runs (I'm not starting it again until I purge the engine of the cappuccino that was in it) but it needs some other TLC.
Did you keep track of the work you did? Or is yours just a 'freshening up'?
