Mine had the same silver as the fork. The rest of it was original, but I'm just assuming the rims were also.

It was a metallicy silver color. Mine had some green tarnish forming on them, but they were silver underneath. The rims and hubs were the same color, although the front rims were (incorrectly) replaced at some point. Here are some pre-restoration shots:
