So I succumbed and bought another GTS300, the 2023 beige model.

I walked into the showroom intent on buying a light green one, but then saw this. It just had more class. Have had it for two months now and find it an absolute joy to ride. The re-designed front suspension has really made a difference. I think this model is the most beautiful Vespa ever produced, even better than the GS150!

Modifications so far - longer mirrors, remove side reflectors, paint transmission cover and exhaust heat shield gloss black, install 12-gram rollers, reduce slack in the throttle cables, re-design the rear numberplate layout, add a helmet hook under the saddle, replace front Piaggio badge with a red and black one. I will be fitting a topbox.

The performance is as good as my previous two Malossified GTS300s, maybe a bit better. The brakes are good but not quite as good as my previous Brembo/Frando combinations. With previous purchases I have always upgraded the front shock first thing, but I'm not sure this one can be improved much. I will wait for reports on the new Bitubo front shock when it becomes available.

Personally I'd expect the adjustability of the aftermarket to be worth the upgrade. Like how can Piaggio still not even have preload on the front?

Never really used it. I have found the Bitubos great just as they come out of the box. Perhaps if I had fiddled with the settings a bit they would have been even greater.
