Modern Vespa

I just noticed a rust colored stain on my garage floor under my Vespa - did'nt give it a second thought. Thought it was an old stain. Today I rode my Vespa and noticed a rust colored stain below the bike when done with my haircut. Rode home and shut off bike in driveway. Immediately noticed rust colored coolant dripping from the weep hole. Checked coolant level and found it empty. Poured water in to fill (temporarily)- and rust colored water pouring out of weephole. I have very limited engine knowledge. Need advice as to what might be causing this problem.

water pump is shot.

you'll need the gasket and o-ring for the pump cover. I would recommend replacing secondary hose (the one that goes from the head to the assembly), and naturally flush the system and refresh hose clamps.

Thank you for the info - it is greatly appreciated. Just found out that there is a new Vespa dealer not too far from me. Had the scooter trailered there for repairs.
