Piaggio says monoethylene glycol coolant ( theirs-Oat or Goat?) and I'm good buying the OEM long life coolant. But some Vespa /Piaggio dealers have/sell/use other brands ( not sure why). My question is what brands/type are as good or better than the OEM coolant when it comes time to service/drain and refill. Thanks for your time.

There has been a couple good threads on this.
I bought the green Maxima Coolanol from Scooterwest last year because they were out of the OE pink, they said to flush system really good, don't mix different brands of coolant just in case.
In the future I will continue with the green Maxima Coolanol.

BUT if I had to do it over again I would've found some OE pink coolant and stuck with it every 2 years.

Not intending to be cheap I went with Maxima based on Scooterwest's recommendation. Pink's easier to see in the reservoir, Maxima's frugal even if you over fill. Keep close eye as you top up and a rag handy if you go green.
