I went for a 40 ish min ride, made a stop, rode another 10 min, stopped to eat. Went to leave, started fine, I backed out of my spot started to go, and it died. Now it makes the starter noise but won't turn over. It has half a tank of fuel, but doesn't sound like it's priming...?

No, it's not making the fuel pump noise when I turn the key before trying to start it.

There where a series of fuel pump issues with 2021 Vespa GTS 300 in hot weather conditions (not with 2022). But maybe yours is build in 2021 and sold in 2022…

If it is the same issue bike has to cool down (open seat and take out pet carrier). Wait 30-60 minutes. If possible fill up some cold petrol.

If bike runs again, go directly to your home (do not switch of again). Bring it to your dealer as soon as possible.

Since the starter works, it can not be the killswitch and / or folded out side stand and the immobilizer actually...

Dollars-to-donuts your bike has a defective fuel pump. Same thing happened to my '22 SuperTech: thankfully I was just a mile from home, and had a (mostly-) flat road to push her back. One week at the dealership and she was back, good as new.

This poster says he can hear the starter. Your problem would not have heard the starter. (But interesting anyway(

450 miles into mine I needed a new fuel pump. Now 7200 miles and I started stalling out in a really hot weather…… but after it cool down, it would start again….. dealer said I needed another fuel pump!!!!! Annoying but is what it is

Under the seat hinge is a big fuse under a little hinged cap. Had the same thing happen to my 2009 GTS. Turned out the fuse was not inserted properly and happened to loose connection just at the busy traffic light - very embarrassing.
