GTS 125 has been sitting for a long time, there is a new battery in the scoot and the code light is illuminating.

When turning the key there is nothing, no dash etc. Checked all switches and battery has good voltage. Has anybody seen this before and isn't something like needing to turn it on with the brown key?

Thanks

Check all fuses with a multimeter. Not just the ones in the glovebox, also check the one in the battery compartment

Have you tried the brown key?
Check that the battery connections are clean and tight.

No we haven't tried this yet, is this a possible fix? It was picked up by a mechanic today.

The brown key is not that likely to be a fix, but if you have the key it's easy enough to try it. The symptoms sound like a battery problem. If the battery is good, the next step is to check the connections. Could be a fuse, too, as SteelBytes says, though I don't see how a fuse would blow if the scooter has just been sitting.

same. the reason I mentioned fuse is they said the dash didn't turn on

Hi, for anyone reading this it turned out to be corrosion on various relays/fuses/etc.
