Took the ET2 for an errand this morning. It goes very well - point, shoot, then brake hard. Cracking.

There's a problem - this has only ever happened twice but never got to the bottom it.

On a hot day (yes, 30c is hot for UK), the bike starts… you get 1/2 mile down in the road and it dies. Not getting fuel.

The question is what to investigate? Something peculiar to a 30c day that might cause an issue.

Petcock, fuel and vacuum lines were all new last year.

2T oracles will eventually cease to exist - keen to figure this out before it's too late. 😜

Setup:
Malossi cast iron 68cc kit.
Technigas silent pro (derestricted).
Dellortro 17.5mm clone carb. A22 needle. MJ is somewhere in the 70s (can't remember).
Manual choke.
Lighter clutch (revs quicker, engages later).
5.7g rollers.

sorry, can't help with the problem, but hope for your sake that it is a 30c peculiarity..

Sunday became the seventh consecutive day of 30 degree weather in the UK with 32.5C recorded in Cambridge. Before that, according to Met Office data, the UK has only had three consecutive days of 30C weather in September on four previous occasions: 1898, 1906, 1911 and 2016

Is there a breather hole in the fuel cap that's blocked? Probably not, but easy enough to have a look.
If it does it again, unscrew the cap and see if there's an inrush of air into the tank. (Although I don't think the UK will see 30 deg C till next year!)

Does it immediately restart? For that half a mile, does it ride normally - or does it feel slower?

If it's only happened twice, it might also not be related to temperature - it could just be a coincidence.
