My mp3 coughed farted a bit and died the other day traced it down to what I think is a faulty injector. Operating coil tested open circuit. Looking in the spare parts guide the injector seems to plug into the supply and return lines. I haven't pulled it out yet but am wondering if I get a new injector whether I also need to order the T piece on top of it.
I can answer my own question. No you don't although it is a bit of a struggle inserting the new injector O ring in and for enquiring minds the dc resistance of a new injector coil is 9.3 ohms
Thank you for following up with the answer and information. Though the community wasn't able to provide guidence, the follow-up ensures the next person with the issue will be able to solve it too.
So after I replaced the new fuel injector the engine warning light would come on with no discernible pattern. I kept riding but not too far from home and eventually it went out permanently I guess the ECU adapted to to the new injector but It seems to have learning difficulties because it took a few days and about 30km to manage that.
