Hi, I am wondering if anyone has experience or advice in adapting round euro headlights to the USA sealed beam sprint veloce / vlb1t hardware, which usually requires a headlight with "U" brackets.

Although there are some replacement units out there with that setup, they are not good quality and light provided is poor.

I would instead specifically like to use the unit linked below. Do you know whether it can be nicely fitted in some way? Thank you very much for your insight.

It's been a few years since I got my 1976 Sprint, but it had the OG headlight on it, but it was the 6V sealed beam, so that got swapped out Real Quick.

I kept the rim and installed a JW Speaker LED light, but that part from SIP looks like it should work without issues.

Thank you. I will get that light then. I am guessing you rewired in order to have a 12v system? How did that work out for you? I've heard mixed reviews. The guys at scooterwest advised me not to do that.

That is correct. I converted to a full DC 12V system with a SIP Vape ignition.

Nice bright lights, especially the headlight. Makes a HUGE difference for riding in the dark (which I used to do morning and evening commuting in the winter).

It's not all that difficult, especially compared to converting over a Balanced AC system, but definitely not something to take on for your first electrical project, either.
Definitely not the 6V sealed beam
