I just got word from one of our distributors in Italy that Piaggio has discontinued the very popular Gel Solo Sport Seat that fits the pre-ABS GTS, GTV and GT. That doesn't mean there aren't any to be had, it just means that once they are sold, there won't be replenishment from Piaggio.

Do they still make the gel seat for ABS 2015+? Is that a different model number?

Yes, and it remains available from Scooterpartsco, which is where I got the seat on my '15 GTS.

That is not the same model seat. The model in your link is the GTV seat. The model I am inquiring about is in the OP.

The model in my link is identified as fitting both the GTS and GTV '15 and newer. I can assure you that it fits the newer GTS as that seat has been on my GTS for several years now as I said.

I'm puzzled. The original post by Motovista was about the seat for the pre-ABS GTS/GTV. You asked "do they still make the gel seat for ABS 2015+"? Perhaps you should clarify what seat you are actually seeking for what year and model of GTS or GTV.

Why puzzled? I am asking if they make model #605677M for 2015 and newer models? The seat in your link is model # 1B001823 and is a different seat. Apples and oranges.

I am puzzled because that IS the only solo gel seat that Piaggio makes for the newer GTS/GTV. As far as I can tell, the only obvious difference is the white piping on the newer version which was actually added to more closely match the 2-up seat on the '15+ ABS model.

The dimensions and materials are totally different. Look more carefully.

Actually I have seen them both first hand, and they seem very similar to me. In any case, these are the only 2 solo seats available from Piaggio for the GTS. There is really nothing more to say on this subject.
